Working as an international student
As an international student on a UK student visa, you'll be allowed to work while you study – as long as you're studying full-time.
Being able to work part-time can help you cover living costs, develop employability skills and start building your professional network. And if you combine your studies with a part-time role in relevant industries, this could help you stand out in the job market once you graduate.
On a student visa, you're allowed to work up to 20 hours per week (Monday – Friday) during term time and full-time during vacations.

Stay and work with a graduate visa
Whether you want to work for a multinational organisation or an innovative startup, studying in London makes it possible.
As an international student studying in the UK, you’ll be eligible to apply for the Graduate Route visa after completing your course. This currently offers up to two years to stay and work in the UK – though the UK Government has proposed reducing this to 18 months, which may apply by the time you graduate.
This gives you the opportunity to:
Begin your career in the UK
Get invaluable industry experience
Build your professional network in London's strong job market
At the end of your graduate visa, you'll have the opportunity to apply for a skilled worker visa or another UK work visa.
