This qualification is for professionals working in the UK financial protection industry looking to enhance their knowledge and for people looking to upskill in protection advice.
Once you’ve completed AwardPro, you can progress to become a fully qualified financial adviser by studying five more modules to earn our Level 4 DipFA.

Unit information
AwardPro consists of one module, made up of two units:
Unit 1: Protection Part 1 (AFP1)
Explore why financial protection matters and how to identify protection needs for individuals, families and businesses. Learn about key insurance products, consumer behaviour, market trends, and how life assurance policies work in practice.
Unit 2 – Protection Part 2 (AFP2)
Build your understanding of tax rules and insurance-based solutions, including income protection and critical illness cover. Develop the skills to assess client needs and recommend suitable protection, taking policy details and regulations into account.

Your AwardPro registration includes access to one specimen exam.
If you’d like more practice, you can purchase an additional specimen paper for £33. Once purchased, it will be available in your mylibf.com account for 12 months – so you can study whenever it suits you.
Assessments
From the day you register for AwardPro, you’ll have up to 12 months to take your exam. When you're ready, simply book a date that suits you – and get your results on the same day.
The assessment is made up of two 45-minute exams sat in one 90-minute session

How to book your exam
You can take your exam electronically at a Pearson VUE test centre anywhere in the UK, or remotely – for example, from home – through online invigilation.
We recommend booking your exam at least two months in advance. However, if slots are available, you can book as little as two working days before your chosen date.
