MBA Artificial Intelligence in London

To apply for the Walbrook MBA, you’ll need to meet one of the following:

Option 1:

• A 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) from a recognised institution plus relevant professional experience (typically 2+ years).
• If you have less than 2 years’ experience, you’re still encouraged to apply. We’ll review your academic and professional background on a case-by-case basis.
  

Option 2:

•  A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.

Thinking of transferring institutions or have you studied before? You can apply to transfer up to 60 credits towards your MBA. Please note that credits can’t be awarded for the Research Methods and Dissertation module.

If English is not your first language, you’ll be asked to provide proof of your English language proficiency. Ideally, your test should be no more than two years old when your course begins. If your test is older, please still apply and our admissions team can review your circumstances.

Alternatively, you may be accepted if you have previously studied in English at an appropriate level and attended a recognised institution.

IELTS

• Evidence of a score of IELTS Level 6.5 or above with no element below 6.0.

TOEFL iBT®

• Evidence of a score of 88 overall (with 18 in reading, 19 in listening, 19 in speaking and 23 in writing).

Duolingo

• Evidence of an overall minimum score of 120 with no component score below 110.

Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English

• Evidence of a score of 176 overall, with 169 in each component.

  Explore how human resource strategies shape business performance in a fast-changing, global market. Engage with debates around the evolving world of work through a global perspective, and build the leadership qualities to guide HR decision-making through internal and external pressures – from local competition to wider economic and technological change.

• Strategy Formulation and Implementation 
  Get to grips with the big picture. Use frameworks like PESTEL and Porter's Five Forces to analyse a real organisation's competitive position, then build the real-world experience of applying your learning, by turning your analysis into a strategic implementation plan of your own.

• Marketing Communication 
  Understand what drives value for customers, and how to communicate it. Design and evaluate an integrated marketing communications mix, and learn to build the cross-functional relationships that turn brand strategy into real, measurable stakeholder value.

• Financial and Business Intelligence 
  Financial insight fuels confident decision-making. Evaluate financial performance, apply investment appraisal techniques, and see how fintech and big data are changing how organisations use data effectively – with business analytics skills you'll apply to a real company's numbers.

• Fundamentals of AI 
  Build a working understanding of what AI can, and can't, do for a business, with a strong focus on real business applications. Explore the core techniques behind data mining, data analytics and machine learning using accessible tools such as Power BI and AutoML platforms, and weigh up the privacy, competitive advantage and commercial trade-offs that come with AI adoption – building towards a business insight report on a live AI opportunity.  

• Principles of Machine Learning  
  Get hands-on with the machine learning techniques driving business decisions today. Use no-code tools such as Google AutoML, working through AI applications to weigh up where different methods succeed, while considering ethical considerations around fairness, bias and transparency. 

• Research Methods and Dissertation  
  Bring your ideas to life with an in-depth, independently researched project into an AI or business issue that matters to your career. Supported by a dedicated academic supervisor, this is your opportunity to make your mark. 

Across your MBA Artificial Intelligence programme, you'll complete a mix of assessments designed to stretch your thinking, strengthen your communication skills, and bring your learning to life. Most modules include one to two assessments – helping you build confidence, test ideas and apply theory in more than one way. Here’s a snapshot of the main types of assessments you’ll complete across your core modules.

• Report: write a structured academic or business report that shows critical thinking and application of theory.
• Poster presentation: create a visual summary of your analysis, such as a strategy or proposal, with a short, written explanation.
• Reflective practice: write a short reflective piece to evaluate your professional learning, development or application of theory in practice.
• Presentation: present your strategic analysis or project proposal through a recorded or live presentation.
• Research dissertation: design and deliver an in-depth research project on a topic you care about. You’ll collect and analyse data, present your findings, and propose strategic recommendations backed by independent research.
