Our undergraduate programmes accept qualifications including A levels, BTECs and the International Baccalaureate.

Our standard entry requirements include:

  • A levels: BBC–ABB (or equivalent).

  • GCSE Mathematics: Grade 6/B or above.

  • GCSE English: Grade 4/C or above.

You can find the full academic and English language requirements on each degree's webpage.

Not sure you meet the entry requirements? Don't rule out studying with us. We consider applications individually, including your qualifications, subjects studied, relevant experience and personal statement.

4. Complete and submit your UCAS application

Once you've selected your courses, it's time to complete your application!

  • Writing your UCAS personal statement

Your personal statement is your opportunity to show why you're interested in your chosen subject and what you could bring to your degree.

For 2027 entry, the UCAS personal statement is structured around three questions. You'll be asked to explain:

    • Why you want to study your chosen subject.

    • How your education has prepared you.

    • What you've gained from experiences outside your studies.

You don't need to have worked in your chosen subject to demonstrate your interest. You might discuss what you've learned in school, news you've followed, independent research or skills developed through part-time work and other activities. Focus on what genuinely interests you and why you'd like to learn more.

  • Submitting your application

You can save your UCAS application and return to it whenever you're ready.

For 2027 entry, the UCAS application fee is £34.50 for up to five choices. Some applicants, including eligible students who have received free school meals or have experience of care, may qualify for a fee waiver.

If you're applying through your school or college, your teacher or adviser will usually help arrange your reference and submit your application.

Make sure everything is complete, including your reference, before the deadline.

The main UCAS deadline for September 2027 entry is 13 January 2027 at 18:00 UK time. Your school or college may have an earlier internal deadline.

5. Track your application and respond to your offers

Once you've submitted your application, you can check its progress through your UCAS Hub.

Our Admissions team will review your application, including your qualifications and personal statement.

If your application is successful, you may receive:

  • A conditional offer: you'll have a place if you meet certain requirements, such as achieving specific grades in your exams.

  • An unconditional offer: you've met the academic conditions for entry, although you may still need to complete some administrative steps.

Once you've received decisions from all your choices, you can respond through UCAS. You can usually choose a firm choice (your first choice) and, if eligible, an insurance choice (your backup option).

UCAS will explain how to respond and when you need to make your decision. Keep an eye on your account so you don't miss any important updates.

6. Confirm your place and get ready to study in London

Once you've accepted an offer, you're one step closer to starting your degree!

If your offer is conditional, you'll need to achieve the required grades before your place can be confirmed. For most students, this happens after A-level or other exam results are released.

  • What if your results aren't what you expected?

Don't panic. Contact our Admissions team to discuss your options. We consider applications individually, although we can't guarantee a place if you haven't met your offer requirements.

Once your place is confirmed, we'll be in touch with everything you need to know about registering, starting your degree and preparing for your first term at Walbrook.
