MBA Banking and Finance programme details

Our MBA Banking and Finance programme builds the financial expertise and strategic judgement senior banking and finance roles demand. You'll study the strategic management, human resource management, risk management, and marketing skills every senior leader needs, alongside Corporate Finance and International Finance Management – building the practical skills needed to evaluate investment decisions, manage currency and country risk, and make sound financial decisions under pressure.

Every module is grounded in real-world scenarios, so you'll be able to see how your practical learning translates directly into career progression in the banking and financial services sector. You'll bring it together in a dissertation shaped by your own career goals, ready for senior leadership roles wherever they take you.

Academic English and Study Skills: pre-sessional programme for international students

If you'd find extra support with academic English writing helpful before starting the MBA Banking and Finance programme, you can join our short, face-to-face pre-sessional programme on campus. This is an optional, non-credit bearing module and forms part of your overall offer for the master's degree.

You’ll work on the skills you’ll use throughout your studies – including reading academic texts, writing for assessment, giving presentations, referencing, using the library, understanding Walbrook’s AI policy, and contributing confidently in seminars.

  • Joining us in November 2026? The pre-sessional programme begins on 21 September 2026. You’ll need to apply for both the pre-sessional programme and your MBA degree by 28 August 2026.
  • Joining us in March 2027? The pre-sessional programme will run in November and December 2026. We’ll confirm the exact dates and application deadline soon.
