Master of Business Administration (MBA) in London

To apply for the Walbrook MBA, you’ll need to meet one of the following:

Option 1:

• A 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) from a recognised institution plus relevant professional experience (typically 2+ years).
• If you have less than 2 years’ experience, you’re still encouraged to apply. We’ll review your academic and professional background on a case-by-case basis.
  

Option 2:

•  A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.

Thinking of transferring institutions or have you studied before? You can apply to transfer up to 60 credits towards your MBA. Please note that credits can’t be awarded for the Research Methods and Dissertation module.

If English is not your first language, you’ll be asked to provide proof of your English language proficiency. Ideally, your test should be no more than two years old when your course begins. If your test is older, please still apply and our admissions team can review your circumstances.

Alternatively, you may be accepted if you have previously studied in English at an appropriate level and attended a recognised institution.

• Evidence of a score of IELTS Level 6.5 or above with no element below 6.0.

TOEFL iBT®

• Evidence of a score of 88 overall (with 18 in reading, 19 in listening, 19 in speaking and 23 in writing).

Duolingo

• Evidence of an overall minimum score of 120 with no component score below 110.

Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English

• Evidence of a score of 176 overall, with 169 in each component.

Across your MBA programme, you'll complete a mix of assessments designed to stretch your thinking, strengthen your communication skills, and bring your learning to life. Most modules include one to two assessments – helping you build confidence, test ideas and apply theory in more than one way. Here’s a snapshot of the main types of assessments you’ll complete across your core modules. 

• Report: write a structured academic or business report that demonstrates critical analysis and application of theory.

• Poster presentation: create a visual summary of your analysis, such as a strategy or proposal, with a short, written explanation.

• Reflective practice: write a short reflective piece to evaluate your professional learning, development or application of theory in practice.

• Presentation: present your strategic analysis or project proposal through a recorded or live presentation.

• Research dissertation: design and deliver an in-depth research project on a topic you care about. You’ll collect and analyse data, present your findings, and propose strategic recommendations backed by independent research.

Yes. Walbrook welcomes international applicants to this on-campus MBA programme in the City of London. All teaching is in English, and you'll study alongside a genuinely international cohort, with pre-arrival and induction support built specifically for international MBA students. This on-campus MBA can be studied full-time (18 months) or, if you start in November 2026, part-time (30 months), so you can fit it around work commitments even while learning face-to-face. An executive MBA (Master's of Business Management) is typically built for senior professionals already in leadership roles, studied around a full-time job with minimal time on campus. Walbrook's on-campus MBA is open at 2:2 honours degree level (or equivalent) plus around 2 years' professional experience, with regular in-person teaching.

A global MBA usually involves international residencies across multiple countries – this MBA is delivered entirely in the City of London (United Kingdom).

And a one-year MBA compresses everything, including the dissertation, into 12 months – Walbrook's on-campus full-time MBA runs over 18 months (or 30 months part-time), which allows proper time for your Research Methods and Dissertation module. If you would prefer to study from wherever you are, we offer a 100% online MBA. Our online MBA doesn't offer the benefits of studying in London, but it does allow you to graduate in as little as one year.
